From the settings in my version of I can select to upgrade to Premium so that is how I know about the offer. There are people that will do it, and there is that revenue that Microsoft is hoping for from "services". That is to say install and play for free with ads, or $9.99 for a yearly subscription, and a month subscription is $1.49. From what I see on the Store it says that the in app "purchases" range from free to $9.99. That is the same thing, but with no ads,Īnd a couple of things like that. If it isn't installed for you and you are getting it from the store make sure you are not opting in to get the "Premium" version. It was already installed at Start -> All apps -> Microsoft Solitaire Collection. Now the confusion on the price might be that I already had it downloaded/connect to my Windows 8.1 account and so it might have installed it for me automatically whereas it wouldn't do that for you. The Microsoft Solitaire Collection is free (with some minor ads).
